Birthdays in my family always seem to come with a guarantee that photo albums and baby pictures will be shown, stories will be told about how frantic Nov. 22 1983 was for my mom (who was having her first kid), and the giving of lots of random presents that you'd never in a million years think to ask for but need more then you ever could have imagined. Ah, family. In this time just after all my new music has been turned in to Warner Bros. and just before I start touring and promoting next year, sit these few months of brainstorming and holiday-ing. Not every year, but certainly this year, my birthday comes at the perfect slow moment. Its Monday, for instance, and as opposed to driving back to LA last night for a Monday full of things I could busy myself doing, I realize I can afford to really just stay home one more day. So I've got Home Improvement paused while I write you this, sprawled out on my Mom's couch. What a perfect way to spend the time around the day that reminds you both how young and how old you are. I've never been happier to be exactly where I am in my career...which is strange, cause, where am I? I don't have a record out yet, I don't have a movie or TV show I'm working on. But this feeling of completing something that took so much time and all for the purpose of doing good work so as not to ask for yours and your friend's attention only to sell you something I could've done better, but instead something that took all of these 26 years to make and is worthy of all that time!....this feeling is great. I haven't gone to college yet, so next to completing regular school, this record has taken more time then anything else I've ever done in life! Ha! And there's how young I am. Anyway, I'm a lucky guy. I count the ways in which I've won the lotto and that includes the thousands of you who follow me, stream me, buy me, see me, cheer me and read me. I'm gonna go for a bike ride around the neighborhood I learned to bike in, then head back to LA with the biggest smile. Thank you for the comments and pictures this weekend. And most of all, thanks for always listening!
Tyler

everyone here expressed his
everyone here expressed his gratitude to you. I won't be an exeption;) for the time being I'm unable to buy your album, cause I couldn't find it anywhere (frankly speaking I think there is no any in our country( I'm not speaking of the possibility to visit your concert and see you live... so the only joy I have is downloading your songs by mp3 search hope things will change for the better!
I totally agree!
After writing essays for school, I always listen to your music and I must say that you are indeed a lucky guy. Keep up the good work, man, you are warming cold hearts all over the world.

This post made me smile.
This post made me smile. I'm so glad you got to spend a relaxing birthday with your family, reflecting on how far you've come and considering what you'd like to do in the years that come.
I admire you for not taking anything for granted -- that also gives you the chance to actually enjoy your success, instead of missing it in a haze of business deals and publicity.
You're a wonderful guy and a formidable talent. There are a lot of musicians I follow loyally, but you are one that I know I will always be happy to support, because I believe in you.
Love,
Amanda (in Virginia)
Introduction
Hi Tyler,
I’ve always been a OTH fan, which includes a Chris Kelleher fan. But that is as far as my knowledge of you went, until about 3 months ago when I moved to the City and away from my family. I was watching OTH clips on YouTube when I came across your videos and instantly fell in love with your voice, your music and your personality. Since then I follow you on Twitter and Facebook and now I have registered on Tylerhilton.com. The thing that strikes me most about you is how down to earth you are and how much you appreciate the life you have and your fans. I think it is absolutely amazing that I am here in Ireland and have found an amazing person and artist in the States, yet it feels like you are right down the street from me! So I just wanted to say, keep up the good work, keep doing what you are doing because you are touching so many lives. Maybe you will tour Europe someday and I will get to see a show or who knows, maybe I’ll catch one in the States.

ps Belated Happy Birthday
=)
Awww... I'm so happy for u, Tyler. It's so good to actually hear someone's totally fine w/ what he's doing instead of the usual stuff that I get everyday - ppl complaining about probably everything they experience. Pretty refreshing and I love that! ;) Hope everything will go on just like the way it is right now. Best of everything - seriously. Oh, and just by the way - I'd LOVE to see u tour some european countries as well, so if there's a chance, plz go for it! :)
XOXO
Hi Tyler
It's good to know that you have taken a little time out of your busy schedule to relax and let us (the fans) know how you are personally doing. I'm glad that you had a great birthday. I highly anticipate your new album. Your music is brilliant and I hope that you continue to do what you love for as long as you can. Perhaps you'll tour close enough to my town that I can come and see you perform live.
Love and support,
Melissa V.
Tour
If you could manage it, I would appreciate it if one of those tour dates could be in Charlotte, North Carolina as I'd like to take my mother to a concert we would enjoy together. And, of course, Happy Birthday big guy.
We love you, Tyler.
There really has never been a time that I have not smiled while reading one of your blogs, Tyler. You say thank you, but really I think I should thank you for everything - for the music, for all the wonderful feelings you give us, for these little check-ins that you do... I really appreciate all you've done and I'm glad you're taking some time to relax now. Lots of love and best wishes!
